What do you think will happen to the No Child Left Behind Act once the Bush Administration leaves Office?

WELCOME TO OUR BLOG

Each school has an environment as mentioned in Improving Relationships with the Schoolhouse (Barth, 2006). The Administrators and the Teachers set the tone for the survival of the school. As teachers display the act of caring. As administrators give meaning and purpose to teaching students, this flow will filter down to the students (Barth, 2006).

Reflections on What It Means to Be a Teacher

Defining Teaching and Learning. Teaching and learning is a give and receive process. Every human being gives something to society. Teaching and learning it is a revolving door, where someone gives and someone receives. However, the survival of a society is governed by what each person is able to produce or give back to the community.

Identifying what it means to be a good teacher? A good teacher is someone who enjoys giving instructions and leadership to others. A good teacher is effective in training others to learn to be effective contributors to the community. In Barth’s article on “Improving Relationships” the nature of relationships among the adults within a school has a greater influence on the character and quality of that school and on student accomplishment than anything else. Barth’s study (as cited on the CD-ROM Reader in Sadker, D., Sadker and Zittleman, 2006). It is important for the administrative staff to work together with the teachers to create the right environment.
